again make their views known regarding eating behind the wheel - in
short DON'T DO IT! - 20th March 2007
In a recent case
the police have shown that they will clamp down on drivers caught eating
food whilst controlling a motor vehicle. As mobile phone laws become
tougher, the public seem to have taken their eye off a long standing law
that one cannot consume food whilst driving.

Eating a mars bar, swigging a drink might all be
considered against the law and as one driver in Runcorn discovered you could
get penalised.
This chap was found to be eating a cheese and pickle
sandwich when he was spotted. He received a £60 fine and 3 penalty points on
