Jeremy Clarkson injured in a car crash while filming

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson suffered minor injuries after a high speed car crash whilst filming - 13th October 2008

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has had a lucky escape after being involved in a high speed car crash.

His injuries were minor from the head on car collision he had whilst filming for the BBC show Top Gear. He suffered minor injuries to his back, hand and leg.

Clarkson is no stranger to driving at high speeds once claiming to have reached speeds of 186mph while driving on a UK motorway. He regularly races around while working on the Top Gear show but said that this was his first serious road traffic accident in 31 year of driving.

This is not the first time Top Gear presenters have been injured in high speed crashes whilst working, with Richard Hammond being seriously injured in 2006 whilst filming, after reaching a speed of 315mph.

Clarkson should make a full recovery from the injuries he suffered in the car accident.
